Nogales officers at the Dennis DeConcini Crossing, discovered more than 40 packages of heroin and methamphetamine on Friday.
The packages were discovered after a woman was referred for further inspection after a canine from U.S. Customs and Border Protection caught an odor that it was trained to detect.
The drugs were discovered in the quarter panels of the vehicle and weighed in at nearly 48 pounds.
The officers confiscated more than 13 pounds of heroin worth more than $230,000 and 34 pounds of meth ranging at nearly $103,000.
The vehicle, a Honda sedan, and the drugs were confiscated and the subject was handed over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigators.
