Two U.S. citizens were arrested Saturday for attempting to smuggle 56 pounds of methamphetamine and fentanyl worth $197,000.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the two stopped at the Morley pedestrian crossing were a 37-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman.
Officers seized the drugs and the vehicle involved and turned the subjects over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
