New video was released today of the man accused of plotting terrorist attacks in Pima and Maricopa counties. 18-year-old Mahin Khan was arrested in Tucson on Friday.
He's facing two charges including terrorism and conspiracy to commit terrorism. The FBI says he planned acts of terror against government buildings in Pima and Maricopa counties. He is currently in custody of the the Maricopa County Sheriff.
"Sir will you state your full name and date of birth?"
"Mahin Aatif Khan and June 18, 1998."
"Okay Mr. Khan, you are here on charges of conspiracy to commit terrorism, a class 2 felony and inciting or inducing terrorism, a class 2 felony."
Nine On Your Side obtained a release questionnaire from the court today that revels Khan's intent to leave the country.
One of the questions asked "What facts indicate the defendant will flee if released?"
The answer stated, "due to the nature of the arrest, he said he would flee to Syria or Pakistan."
Khan is currently being held without bond. The Arizona Attorney General's office is set to release more court documents this week. Khan is due back in court on July 8th.
