A new study ranks Tucson as one of the cheapest cities in the U.S. for college students.
Student Loan Hero compared the price of room and board at top colleges, to the expense of living off campus.
They learned that the University of Arizona's yearly room and board costs reach $12,550.
Living off-campus in a one bedroom apartment could save those students about half of that money per year.
The cheapest cities for college students also include:
- Springfield Missouri
- Mobile, Alabama
