There will soon be a new school in Marana Unified School District.
On Friday, Marana had a Groundbreaking Ceremony for their new K-8 CSTEM school in Dove Mountain.
The new school will be at 5650 West Moore Road and is scheduled to open in Fall 2019.
The district says this new school will offer a creative and specialized academic experience as well as an innovative 21st century learning environment.
Students will experience rigorous CSTEM: Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
The K-8 CSTEM school will also offer programs and services similar to other Marana schools, including full day free kindergarten, pre-school, before and after school care, gifted education, special education, and more.
The school is made possible through the 2014 voter supported capital improvement school bond.
