UPDATE 5:06 p.m.
1,426 TEP customers remain without power. According to Joe Barrios, a TEP spokesperson, the utility provider is responding to several outages throughout the area, which were caused by strong winds and storm activity.
Barrios said TEP will continue to work into the evening and night as needed to restore power to customers.

According to Tucson Electric Power's outage map, 5,890 customers are currently without power.
The majority of outages are in the Oro Valley area.
