An 8-year-old boy was flown to Banner UMC in Tucson after he was found unresponsive in the pool at Veteran's Memorial Park on 8th Street in Douglas, according to a news release.
Douglas Fire says at 2:16 p.m. they received a call for a possible drowning.
An ambulance arrived shortly after they found an 8-year-old boy unresponsive and not breathing.
The boy had been removed by City of Douglas lifeguards who had initiated life saving efforts.
CPR and other life saving measures were performed on the boy.
Before the boy was flown by medical helicopter to Banner UMC the boy had a pulse and began breathing again.
Douglas Fire says the identity of the child is not being released at this time.
The circumstances around the boy being found unresponsive are being investigated by Douglas Police.
