A raw sewage leak near the U.S.-Mexico border is contained Monday morning, according to Cochise County Officials.
Residents near the leak in Naco, Arizona, were prepared to leave their homes after warnings from local health officials. On Monday morning, Cochise County says the sewage water pools are contained and treated while Environmental Health staff are monitoring the leak on private property west of Naco.
Cochise County says there's now no health threat to the general public as they work to find a solution with both U.S. and Mexican authorities.
