TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A multi-car accident sent two people to the hospital on Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
Northwest Fire Capt. Adam Goldberg said severe damages were done to the cars at the accident at Ruthrauff and I-10.
The damage forced Northwest Fire crews to use the Jaws-of-Life to extricate two people. Goldberg said it took nearly an hour to free a 12-year-old boy from a car using the Jaws-of-Life.
Two people were sent to the hospital, including the 12-year-old boy who is in serious condition. The other has minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is now being investigated by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
