PHOENIX — House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi is among those scheduled to eulogize former U.S. Rep. Ed Pastor at a church packed with mourners gathered to remember Arizona's first Hispanic member of Congress.

The service at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Phoenix began with a mariachi group singing "De Colores," a popular Spanish-language folk anthem.

Republican Sen. Jon Kyl also is listed in Friday's official program with Pelosi and Pastor's wife and daughters as eulogists.

The liberal Democrat known for his bipartisanship died last week after suffering a heart attack. He was 75.

Mourners at the service include Cindy McCain, the widow of Sen. John McCain.

Pastor served 23 years in Congress but decided to not seek re-election in 2014.
