Tucson police say Ajo was shut down between 7th Ave. and 9th Ave. Thursday night due to a car accident.
According to Sgt. Dugan from TPD, this was a motorcycle versus car crash.
Dugan says the motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and the road has been reopened.
