TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and vehicle that happened Friday afternoon on Campbell, south of Roger Road.

Police say they were called to the scene around 2:15 p.m. for the crash. Investigators say after looking at roadway evidence and holding interviews, the 72-year-old driver of a 2002 Toyota Tacoma was heading northbound and tried to make a left turn. When the driver made the turn, he did so in front of 44-year-old Jason Allen Woodhouse, who was on a motorcycle. Woodhouse crashed into the Tacoma. Police say he died at the scene.

Detectives say they later learned Woodhouse did not have a motorcycle endorsement on his driver's license and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

TPD says the driver of the Tacoma was not impaired. As for the motorcyclist, Police say any impairment determination will come through medical records.

The investigation remains ongoing and no charges have been filed.
