Motorcyclist dies after colliding with SUV exiting driveway

PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a motorcyclist is dead after crashing into an SUV in Phoenix.

Police say 30-year-old Brannen Carter was driving his motorcycle around 7:30 p.m. Saturday when he was hit by a car that was exiting a private driveway.

They say the 23-year-old driver failed to yield and attempted to make a left turn out of a driveway.

Police say wasn't wearing a helmet and suffered numerous injuries.

He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police evaluated the woman driver and determined she wasn't impaired.

They didn't immediately say whether criminal charges would be filed against the woman, whose name wasn't released.
