TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A 22-year-old mother is under arrest for child abuse, according to Pima County Sheriff's Department.
Deputy Ryan Inglett said Roxanne Stoffel fled Northwest Medical Center with her 15-month-old baby after learning her child surffered from a serious head injury.
Authorities arrested Stoffel on Friday, December 3, at a nearby bus stop where an ambulance took her child to Banner University Medical Center.
The recovering baby and her 7-year-old sister are now in the custody of the Department of Child Safety.
Inglett said the baby is now in good conditon.
