Mix of snow and rain close road to Mount Lemmon

Pima County Sheriff's Department announced the road to Mount Lemmon has reopened Sunday.

4:10 p.m.

Tucson Parks and Recreation say all city fields are closed Friday and Saturday.

12:30 p.m.

Montezuma Pass near Hereford is currently closed and no snow plows will be running through. There are reports of as much as five inches of snow in the area.

Also, Chiricahua Vistor Center, 12856 E Rhyolite Creek Road in Willcox, is closed.

8 a.m.

Catalina Highway to Mount Lemmon is closed Friday morning after reports of snow fall.

There is light to moderate rain slowly moving east across the area, causing snow levels down around 4000 feet across eastern Pinal and Pima county.

As of now, there is one inch at Oracle and 2-3 inches of snow at Mt. Lemmon, but snow is continuing to fall.

The temperature Friday is expected to be 12 to 16 degrees cooler than Thursday with snow levels in some areas as low as 3000 feet with minor accumulations.
