The Cochise County Sheriff's Department are asking for the public's help finding a missing man in Benson.

Joseph Dowd Jr., 68, was last seen leaving his home in the small town on his purple Schwinn mountain bike at around 9 a.m. Wednesday, deputies say. He doesn't have any medical issues, but authorities say he may have "early onset memory issues."

Dowd is described as a white man, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 160 pounds. He has red, should-length hair with a thin beard and a tan complexion. Cochise County authorities say he was last seen wearing a dark green shirt that says "Leeman's Sports Bar," wearing a New England Patriots hat, a plaid coat and "carpenter-style" jeans.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the Cochise County Sheriff's Office at (520) 432-9500.
