Tucson Fire crews put out a blaze at a midtown restaurant Thursday.

Mariscos Chihuahua, 300 E. Grant, which is under renovation, caught fire in the 10 a.m. hour. Crews had the blaze under control within six minutes of arriving on scene.

Workers evacuated the building without being injured.

Crews saw smoke coming from the back of the building, and found that the fire emitted from a spot near a water heater and area where workers were doing plumbing and soldering work.
