The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of human remains in the Sun Lakes area.
Deputies were on the scene Thursday near Riggs Road and Arizona Avenue.
Sheriff's officials say the remains were confirmed to be human, but it's not known how long the remains have been at the site.
Tests will be done to determine the gender of the human remains and how the person died.
