Congresswoman Martha McSally added a runway improvement for Tucson International to the defense budget for 2019.
The extension will give National Guard F-16's a parallel runway to take off and land.
TIA is home to one of the largest F-16 training units in the country.
The money will also provide more land for Raytheon to store munitions.
