An event to raise money for childhood cancer research was held Friday night at Mountain View High School.
Several law enforcement officers and others shaved their heads and donated money.
More than $7,000 was raised at the event all going to the St. Baldricks Foundation.
"One child every two minutes is diagnosed worldwide. And then once they're diagnosed, the other statistic is that one in five don't survive. So it's a pretty tough one. And there's a lot of kids just in our local community here," event organizer Chris Dow said.
