Mayor Rothschild to speak at DNC panel

Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild will be speaking at a Democratic National Convention panel, according to a press release.

Rothschild will speak at the City Solutions: Transportation and Infrastructure panel at the DNC in Philadelphia on Monday, July 25 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. EST. 

The other panelists will include Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Nashville Mayor Megan Barry and other prominent elected officials. The panel will be moderated by Kansas City, Missouri Mayor Sly James.

Rothschild will speak on Tucson's modern streetcar and the impact its had on the development of downtown. The Tucson mayor will also speak on road, rail and air infrastructure improvements to advance trade and tourism.

"Tucson's streetcar has played an important role in our downtown revitalization, and investing in transportation infrastructure that facilitates trade and tourism is key to our success as a city and region," Mayor Rothschild said. "I look forward to hearing from my colleagues in other cities about their transportation challenges and solutions."
