PHOENIX (AP) - The Maricopa County Superior Court clerk's office plans to help Cupid by making it easier for couples to get marriage licenses in time for Valentine's Day.
The downtown Phoenix location of the clerk's office plans to be open Saturday Feb. 13 in order to issue marriage licenses along with processing passport applications.
Valentine's Day is Feb. 14, a Sunday this year, and the office says Valentine's Day or the Friday before when Valentine's Day falls on a weekend is the office's busiest day of the year for marriage licenses and passports.
In fact, the office says it issues double the number of marriage licenses issued on other days.
