Marana Unified School District officials confirmed today that there is no valid threat against Tortolita Middle School.

According to a MUSD media release, an alleged threat was made on social media via Snapchat that said, "Don't come to school on Monday."

Multiple students and parents contacted the Pima County Sheriff's Department to express concern.

Tortolita Middle School Principal Rex Scott said in a media release:

"Following a comprehensive investigation by the Pima County Sheriff's Department, I have been notified that the source of this alleged threat was identified and law enforcement has determined that there is NO valid threat against our school."

There will be additional law enforcement on campus tomorrow to address student questions and concerned.
