Police officers from Marana made Christmas a little warmer for children at the Banner-Diamond Medical Center by putting on a light show and giving them company on the holidays.

For the light show, officers parked on the top level of a nearby parking garage so children in the medical tower could look out of their windows to see the display.

Officers also visited with children in their rooms to pass out police patches, stickers, and to talk with children and their families.

Many of these children were not able to go home for the holidays to spend time with their loved ones.

Other departments that participated in the event were: Tucson PD, Pima County Sheriff’s Dept, Pima Community College PD, Oro Valley PD, University of Arizona PD, Union Pacific Railroad PD, Tucson Airport Authority PD, Tucson Fire, and US Border Patrol and Customs.
