Marana police are investigating an attempted strong arm robbery that occurred at the Walmart located at 8280 N Cortaro Rd. on May 29.
According to Marana PD, two women were loading items into their vehicle when a charcoal Nissan Altima approached them. The suspect exited his vehicle and tried to grab one of the women's purses.
The victim grabbed her purse in an attempt to prevent the theft. A fight ensued, causing the victim to be thrown on the ground by the suspect. The other woman fell over her shopping cart in an attempt to intervene.
The suspect was not able to steal the purse and fled the area.
He's described as:
- Caucasian
- Thin build, tall
- Dirty blonde hair
- Late 20's to early 30's
- White t-shirt, unknown color shorts
The vehicle is a four door Nissan Altima, silver or charcoal color, rear spoiler, 2007-2012 with a standard Arizona license plate.
