A 42-year-old Marana woman has been charged with the attempted first-degree murder of her toddler.
On November 9, officers received a 911 call regarding a stabbing incident at a home in the 12000 block of N. Wind Runner Parkway.
Marana Police and Northwest Fire District responded and located a male toddler with obvious signs of trauma caused by a knife.
Crews transported the toddler to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives responded to investigate and arrested the toddler’s mother, Kay Kunes, for her involvement in the stabbing incident.
Kunes was booked on one count of attempted first-degree murder.
