Marana Unified School District announced the return of Marana Cares Mobile Thursday, a service that provides meals to kids during school breaks and summer months.
Free meals will be offered in a mobile facility on Dec. 24, 26, 27, 28, 31 and Jan. 2, 3, 4 at the following locations:
- 11:00AM-12:00PM
Sandario Road and Anthony Road (southeast corner next to the Marana Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness Church)
- 12:30-1:30PM
6560 W. El Tiro Road (at the Marana Domestic Water Improvement District).
In addition, students will have access to Wi-fi, Chromebooks, and books.
"Marana Cares Mobile allows us to give more back to our community by doing what is the very best for children. Nutrition and health are critical to a child's ability to learn and be successful. This service allows us to meet those needs during times when students are not at school so they are better prepared to return to school ready to learn," MUSD said.
