Numerous thefts of manhole covers have been reported throughout the city of Tucson and Pima County.
No exact locations were given, just that many had been reported on the southwest side.
The Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department (RWRD) says that missing manhole covers can be extremely dangerous.
RWRD asks that if anyone notices a missing manhole cover or if they see individuals tampering with these covers to call 911 and the RWRD emergency line at 520-724-3400.
Drivers should exercise extreme caution while driving, walking and jogging and should always stay away from uncovered manholes.
