A man wanted in Plano. Texas's oldest Crime Stoppers case has been arrested in Arizona.
The Dallas Morning News reports that 35-year-old David Martin Ruiz is being held in the Pima County Adult Detention Center in Tucson, on multiple charges. He was detained by U.S Border Patrol agents as he was entering the U.S. from Mexico.
Plano police spokesman David Tilley says Ruiz has been on the city's wanted list since a warrant for his arrest was issued for the fatal stabbing of 25-year-old Adrain Odell Porier in May 2008.
Plano detectives are expected to file paperwork to extradite Ruiz to Texas to face a murder charge.
Ruiz is being held on a $150,000 bond. It wasn't immediately clear if he has a lawyer to speak on his behalf.
