Tucson police have detained several people in connection with a stabbing incident on the east side.
Sgt. Pete Dugan, a spokesman for the department, said just after 1:15 p.m. they received calls of a man chasing another man near 29th and Craycroft, possibly armed with a gun.

Dugan said there was an altercation between several individuals that led to a stabbing. No shots were fired.
A man was stabbed with a knife multiple times and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have detained several people who they believed were involved in the incident.
Dugan said this incident is possibly gang related, gang units are on scene investigating at this time.
