MARICOPA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - A man was stabbed four times in the chest and abdomen and sustained critical injuries after being attacked by a homeless man.
On May 12, a 39-year-old man was been stabbed during a fight in the 49000 block of Julie Lane, said Mark Clark, Public Information Officer with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies arrived, a resident flagged them down and directed them to the stabbing victim lying on the porch of a residence.
The man was flown to a Phoenix area trauma center where he remains in critical condition.
The suspect, 28-year-old Ragon Sandoval, was arrested and booked on aggravated assault charges.
The stabbing victim provided information on who stabbed him, identifying “Ragon” as a homeless man living in the area.
Deputies located Sandoval in an abandoned shack near the crime scene.
