MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old man sought in a homicide in Mesa has been apprehended in Mexico and deported back to the United States.
The U.S. Marshals Service said Thursday that Luis Angel Gomez was sought on murder and other charges in a case in which Mesa police said 31-year-old Jorge Alcantar was gunned down at a home in May of 2017.
U.S. Marshal David Gonzales said it's gratifying that Gomez was arrested and returned to the United States to face justice.
Court records don't list a defense attorney for Gomez who could comment on the allegations.
