UPDATE: Man shot, killed at apartment complex in Midtown identified

UPDATE SEPT. 8, 7:10 P.M.

For the past month TPD investigators have been looking into the shooting that ended in Aris Raynee Brito Junior dead. That included interviews and processing additional evidence.

They said that led them to issue arrest warrants for two suspects who are both 17 years old. They found one of the suspects yesterday and he was booked into the Pima County Juvenile Detention Center.

The other suspect’s charges, they said, have been added and he was already in custody at the Pima County Jail for an unrelated situation.

They have both been charged with first degree murder, armed robbery, and aggravated robbery.

UPDATE (3:13 p.m., Aug. 12):

The man shot and killed while sitting in his vehicle at the Campbell Ranch Apartments, Sunday night has been identified as 18-year-old Aris Raynee Brito, Junior.

According to a news release from Tucson Police, officers responded to the apartment complex at around 9 p.m., where they located Brito, with gunshot trauma.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME.
