UPDATE: Man arrested in connection with fatal Northside shooting

UPDATE (4:35 p.m., Jan. 30): Tucson Police have arrested 25-year-old Arnolfo Gabriel Valdez in connection with the shooting death of Mitchell James Bramhall.

According to a news release from Tucson Police, Valdez was identified as a suspect during the course of the investigation.

Valdez and Bramhall had recently had a falling out, the news release said.

Tucson Police located Valdez at his home near East Fort Lowell Road. Additional evidence was recovered at the home.

Valdez was charged with first-degree murder, two counts of prohibited possessor, and drug possession.

A man is dead after being shot in a home on Tucson's north side.

26-year-old Mitchell James Bramhall was found dead in the home in the 2700 block of North Estrella Avenue shortly after 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23.

No suspects were located at the scene, according to a news release from Tucson Police Department.

Through interviews, investigators determined the suspect shot into the home from outside.

The investigation is ongoing.
