Man sentenced to more than 5 years for attempted bank robbery

A 41-year-old man who was convicted of attempted bank robbery was sentenced to 64 months in prison Monday.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Richard Ortega Elenes Jr. tried to rob a Tucson Wells Fargo on June 29, 2015. He handed a note to a teller that read "I need all of your money now."

The teller sounded an alarm and Elenes left and entered a cab, He was arrested within 30 minutes.
