Man sentenced for threatening PCC, girlfriend

Jesus Daniel Rodriguez, the 27-year-old man who threatened his girlfriend and Pima Community College was sentenced to 7.5 years for each count to run concurrent on Tuesday in court. 

Rodriguez was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.

Police say he fired at least seven shots at two of his ex-girlfriend's family members.

Pima Community College officials issued an alert for the school after Rodriguez threatened his ex by saying he knows which campus she attends and her schedule.

PCC beefed up security by adding more officers to patrol their Desert Vista campus.
