A 65-year-old man was rescued from a swift water incident Friday in Cochise County.
According to Carol Capas with CCSO, a caller reported a truck being swept away in a wash after attempting to drive into the water. The caller says that the truck was pushed off the road and disappeared under the water.
The Search and Rescue Team began searching for the vehicle and the driver. The vehicle was found 200 yards west of Cascabel Rd, but the driver was not inside.
SAR continued to search towards the San Pedro River and when they arrived, they heard a man yelling for help.
The team was able to hike to where the man was and brought him to safety.
The CCSO says that he was washed 3/4 of a mile from his vehicle to the San Pedro River.
