SHOW LOW, Ariz. (AP) - A man who had been reported missing in mid-November has been found dead in a heavily treed area near Show Low.
The Navajo County Sheriff's Office says it recovered the body of 64-year-old Robert Joseph McCain earlier this week.
Deputy Chief Don Griffiths says McCain got into a verbal disagreement with someone he lived with in November and left to visit family in Texas. Griffiths says McCain didn't get far, becoming disoriented after his truck got stuck east of Show Low.
Griffiths says a hiker found McCain's body Wednesday a short distance from where his vehicle had been found earlier.
Family, friends and authorities conducted multiple searches for him, but Griffiths says the geography of the area made it difficult to spot McCain by ground or air.
