Andrew Boyles, 20, was pronounced deceased at the scene of an accident on Jan. 7.

Sgt. Pete Dugan, spokesperson with the Tucson Police Department says that officers responded to Aviation Parkway and East 22nd Street for a report of a two vehicle collision with serious injuries.

Traffic investigators determined that a 2006 Hyundai SUV was westbound on Aviation Parkway, approaching the intersection of East 22nd Street on a green light.

When the vehicle was entering the intersection, a 2001 Saturn made a left turn in front of the SUV, from eastbound Aviation Parkway.

The SUV collided with the passenger side of the Saturn.

The passenger in the Saturn was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of vehicle was transported to Banner University Medical Center with minor injuries.

The driver of the SUV was transported to the same hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. His two passengers were also transported with minor injuries.

Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the collision.
