TUCSON, Ariz. - A man has died after being hit by a car on the east side just after 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night.
34-year-old Justin Boyd was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after he was hit, but died shortly after arriving.
Tucson Police say Boyd ran across the eastbound lanes of Golf Links Road near Wilmot, and was hit by a Chrysler Sebring. The driver stopped immediately, and cooperated with the traffic investigation.
Police say speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash, and the driver was not impaired. Boyd was wearing all dark clothing and was not crossing in a crosswalk.
This investigation is ongoing.
No charges or citations have been issued at this time.
