A man is in custody after attempting to flee from a traffic stop on Grant Road near I-10.
A Pima County Sheriff's Deputy was driving westbound on I-10 when he noticed a car driving suspiciously.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop and the man driving the car tried to drive off. He then ran into a light pole on the frontage road.
PCSD has taken the man and the car into custody and will investigate the incident further.
There are traffic restrictions in the area, so use alternate routes if possible.
