A man from Huachuca City has been arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor, according to a news release from the Sierra Vista Police Department.

Detectives from the Sierra Vista Police Department arrested 76-year-old Clair Iverson on five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor on Thursday.

SVPD says this arrest stems from a report made by employees at the Sierra Vista campus of Cochise College, who contacted police on Monday.

Employees said a patron was using a computer in the college library to view images of what they described as naked children.

Detectives from SVPD discovered that Iverson was the person using the computer as a citizen guest, not as a student.

A search warrant was obtained in order to search the contents of the computer and detectives were able to retrieve images created on the hard drive that matched the timeframe when Iverson was using it. Police say the images were sexually explicit and depicted numerous children and adults.

Detectives met Iverson near his home today and arrested him. He was later transported to the Cochise County Jail.
