TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County Sheriff's officials say a truck driver has been arrested after a fatal crash involving a motorcycle north of Tucson.

They say 69-year-old Thomas Waites is facing two counts of manslaughter, criminal damage and driving under the influence in Saturday night's collision.

It was unclear Sunday if he has a lawyer yet who can speak on his behalf.

Deputies say a man and a woman who were on the motorcycle were found with severe injuries at the crash scene.

They say the man was pronounced dead while the woman was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

Authorities identified the victims as 41-year-old Benjamin Chavez and 53-year-old Lydia Carter.
