A man was convicted of seven counts of sexual assault, sexual abuse and vulnerable adult abuse
According to the Pima County Attorney's Office, John Swearingen abused his adult niece -- who functioned at the level of a 9 or 10-year-old girl -- over a period of 10 years.
When the victim refused his sexual advances, he pushed her out of a moving vehicle. She called 911 and turned him in.
Swearingen will be sentenced Dec. 11. He is now serving concurrent 10-year prison terms for separate aggravated DUI cases from 2014 and 2015.
