A man has been convicted on charges of Molestation of a Child, Sexual Abuse, Continuous Sexual Abuse, and three counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor Under Fifteen.
On March 10, a jury convicted Michael Kellywood.
According to the Pima County Attorney's office, Kellywood repeatedly molested and sexually abused an adopted female family member from 2012 through July 2015.
Kellywood told the young victim that they had to take their relationship “to the next level.”
The victim eventually told her grandmother about the abuse and the grandmother reported the abuse to the police.
Kellywood will be sentenced on May 15.
