Students and staff at Magee Middle School were evacuated Wednesday morning after an electrical short occurred with an appliance in the kitchen area.
The short created some smoke, which led to the evacuation, according to an email from Tucson Unified School District.
Students and staff were safe at all times, and no one was hurt, the email said.
Tucson Fire and Tucson School Safety responded. The cafeteria was cleared by TFD and school resumed normal operations, the emails said.
