The 34th El Tour de Tucson is only two months away but on Saturday organizations banded together to kickoff the event.

Every year the Perimeter Bicyclists Association of America hosted a walk but this year they partnered with Pima County to promote the loop, the 100-mile long path across southern Arizona.

"When the county made the loop there were bits and pieces," Richard Debernardis of the Perimeter Bicyclists Association told KGUN9. "When they connected all the pieces so now you can actually go around the city of Tucson, a 56 mile loop around the city without any traffic. That's the neat thing about the loop."

Partnering charities were stationed around the loop handing out cards for a raffle for a new bike.

The El Tour de Tucson is on November 19th.
