Southern Arizona law enforcement and Tucson's top legal experts met Tuesday with criminal justice leaders from across the nation to discuss the state of justice in Pima County.
The discussion, held at the Tucson Museum of Art, is part of an ongoing conversation about race and justice with The Atlantic. Pima County, and communities nationwide, are reexamining their criminal justice systems and considering reforms.
The focus here in Pima County is combating mental health and drug abuse issues, and confronting the effects of increased immigration enforcement.
