Cornerstone Behavioral Health – El Dorado announced Thursday they have earned the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval as a specialty hospital for providing psychiatric and medically assisted detox services.
In early May, a team of Joint Commission expert surveyors evaluated the hospital's compliance with hospital standards such as emergency management, the environment of care, infection prevention and control, and leadership and medication management.
On-site observation and interviews were also conducted.
The hospital, at 1400 N Wilmot Rd, says this accreditation shows their commitment to the quality of life for individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders and other behavioral health conditions.
