Local emergency response agencies met Thursday to make sure they are ready in case of what they call "a major event."
A major event could be a crash, bad weather or an active-shooter situation.
The agencies are forming the Regional Airport Response Group. Scott Bader with the Airport Police was instrumental in bringing the agencies together.
"This is going to allow us to have better communication with one another and also have the ability to do some asset or resource sharing amongst the agencies" Bader said.
Some of the agencies taking part in the meeting included Tucson Police, Tucson Fire, Pima County Sheriffs and Department of Public Safety.
